Whether you only ever brew coffee at home or want to introduce brewed coffee to your cafe menu, the Brewing Foundation course will introduce you to the techniques and theory needed to get the best out of a range of brew methods.
We look at the differences between Immersion and Percolation brewers. As well as a range of filtration methods and work towards developing working recipes and techniques.
We also introduce you to the use of a digital refractometer and the SCA Brew Control Chart – the fundamental technique used by all serious coffee professionals to manage their brews.
The course is globally accredited via the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) – if you take the optional SCA Certified Exam, you earn 5 points towards your SCA Coffee Skills Programme.
